The terms that apply to Craigellachie Cars bookings and services.
Thank you for visiting the Craigellachie Cars website, a UK-based service providing private hire, distillery tours and transfers across Speyside and Moray. These Terms and Conditions set out the general terms for using this website and our services. By accessing the site or booking with us, you agree to them.
1. Use of website
You agree to use the Craigellachie Cars website only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others.
2. Our services
We offer various services which can be pre-booked, including local transfers, airport and station transfers, distillery tours and full-day hire. Tell us your plans and we'll confirm availability and a price. Please give us as much notice as you can — Speyside is extremely busy at peak times, and the best slots go first.
3. Quotes & bookings
Quotes are based on the information you give us. A booking is confirmed once we have acknowledged it directly. Where a pickup time has been worked back from an arrival or tour time, it's an estimate that we'll confirm with you before your trip.
4. Prices & payment
Prices for the driving service are agreed in advance. Distillery entry, tastings, meals and other third-party costs are not included and are paid by you directly. We accept cash, card and bank transfer, and can invoice business and corporate accounts.
5. Changes & cancellations
If you need to change or cancel a booking, please let us know as far in advance as you can and we'll do our best to help. We'll always try to be flexible where we can.
6. Distillery tours
We provide the transport and local knowledge; we don't run the distilleries. Opening times, availability and tour content are set by each distillery and can change. We recommend booking distillery visits in advance, and we're happy to help you arrange them.
7. Age & alcohol
Some of our full-day tours include a whisky tasting as part of the experience, enjoyed at a relaxed stop along the way. Any whisky offered is provided free of charge as one of several complimentary refreshments — it is never sold or charged for, and is not included in the price of the hire. Tastings are for adults of legal drinking age only (18 in the UK), and we may ask anyone taking part to confirm they are of age. Children and non-drinkers are very welcome on family and group bookings — we provide soft alternatives such as fruit juice, water and snacks so everyone is looked after.
At the distilleries and other licensed premises we visit, the venue sets and enforces its own age requirements and will usually ask for proof of age before any tasting or purchase. Please bring valid ID if anyone in your group may be asked. We always expect everyone to drink responsibly — that's exactly what having a driver is for.
8. Conduct & safety
For everyone's safety, passengers must wear seatbelts and follow reasonable requests from the driver. We may decline to carry anyone whose behaviour is unsafe or unlawful, and we operate responsibly at all times.
9. Limitation of liability
We strive to provide accurate information, but we don't guarantee that all content on this website is complete, accurate or current at all times — please use it as a guide. We take great care to run on time and plan around delays, but we aren't liable for events outside our reasonable control, such as weather, road closures or third-party delays. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
10. Intellectual property
This website and its content are the property of Craigellachie Cars and are protected by intellectual property laws.
11. Your belongings
Please take care of your personal items. Any lost property we find will be kept for a reasonable period — contact us and we'll do our best to return it to you.
12. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from or relating to them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom. Licensed by Moray Council.
